Job Description Summary:
We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with 6–8 years of expertise in SAP ABAP development, S/4HANA Private Cloud, and SAP BRIM custom developments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting SAP ABAP solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
Responsibilities for ABAP consultant
- Build S/4 ABAP-based solutions to fulfil given requirements
- Assure quality of technical documentation
- Adhere to SAP programming best practices
- Able to understand existing Technical Specs document or create new one as require as part of project requirement
- Strong knowledge in ABAP programming and business processes
- Display understanding of the Business Processes and functional knowledge of several SAP modules
- Responsible for delivering technical solutions in accordance with agreed technical designs and functional specifications
- ABAP programming, design, unit testing, and debugging work for SAP modules to meet project needs, priorities, and deadlines

- Effectively communicates with business and functional analysts to understand and deliver on given requirements
- Maintains effective and cooperative working relationships with process owners, functional and technical team members, and users
- Mandatory English language
- Must be available to work some US hours
Mandatory experience in SAP BRIM custom developments.
Qualifications for ABAP consultant
- 6-8 years of experience in ABAP programming with development and support of business application systems including analysis, technical design, programming, and testing
- Very strong communication skills in English language
- Possess a service-oriented mindset and strong sense of responsibility
- Experience developing solutions in SAP ABAP, S/4 HANNA Private
Cloud, ERP. Experience in SAP RAP
- Experience with programming in multiple modules of SAP is a must
- Strong hands-on experience in developing and troubleshooting forms, reports,interfaces and enhancements in SAP using ABAP
- Must have knowledge of data structure, access methods, workbench and data dictionary, the ability to create technical design documents from business specifications
- Reports (including ALV, Optional – SAP Query, Report Painter)
- Interfaces (file based, RFC, ALE, IDoc, EDI)
- Enhancements (User Exits, BAdI, Enhancement Framework)
- Forms (SAP Scripts, SAP Smartforms, Adobe forms)
- Conversions (including BDC, BAPI)
- Ability to quickly identify and analyze technical risks & impacts
- Must have expertise in Interfaces using PI (flat file based, XML and IDoc interfaces)
- Understanding of API technologies, REST, SOAP, OData
- Knowledge of BTP processes a plus
- Exposure in Workflows
- Knowledge of Web Client Architecture Models (WebUI, GenIL, BOL) a plus
- Working knowledge or exposure to one of the following SAP Portal, SAP XI/PI is a plus
